According to the book, Kansas City Southern in the Deramu Era (Marre & Sommers) there were only 2 derailments that could have caused the damage to the loco as shown in the last photo of this set which involved an EMD GP7 Locomotive
If the loco was KCS 155 the date is Sept. or Oct. 1955 when it was sent back to EMD for rebuild.
